Candle Warmer Lamp vs Warming Plate
Different ways to warm a jar candle.
Candle Warmer Lamp · Editorial guidance
Look at where the heat comes from
A top-down candle warmer lamp positions its warming bulb above the jar. A warming plate applies heat through the surface supporting the jar. These are different product formats, with different compatibility requirements.
This catalog focuses on top-down lamps for jar candles. Wax melt burners, decorative flameless candles and ordinary table lamps are outside that scope.
Check fit for each format
For a lamp, check usable height, jar diameter and the supported base area. For a plate, check the permitted container materials, base contact and dimensions in its own instructions.
Do not assume that a candle suitable for one format suits the other. Shape, container construction and manufacturer instructions matter more than a generic 'large candle' label.
Compare the setup, not a promised winner
A lamp adds a shade and stand to the tabletop; a plate has a different footprint. Compare the actual measurements, cord route and controls in the space where you will use it.
Neither format makes hot surfaces disappear. Use the instructions for the exact warmer and candle, and avoid promises about universal safety or guaranteed fragrance life.
