Adjustable vs Fixed-Height Candle Warmer Lamps
A good fit starts with the gap.
Candle Warmer Lamp · Editorial guidance
Compare usable clearance
A fixed-height model has a set geometry; an adjustable stand offers a range of positions. Neither description tells you the maximum compatible jar on its own. You need the usable gap from the candle support to the shade or bulb, as defined by the manufacturer.
Do not subtract a jar height from the overall lamp height to invent a clearance value. Bases, shade depth and the position of the bulb all affect the usable space.
Think about the candles you rotate
If you switch between jar shapes, record the measurements of each. An adjustable stand may help accommodate that variation, but only within its documented range. Check diameter as well as height.
If you repeatedly buy one jar size, a fixed-height lamp may be straightforward to assess. The important question is whether that exact container meets the model's fit and clearance requirements.
Check how adjustment works
Look for a clear description of the locking mechanism and adjustment range. Confirm that you can reach the control without crowding the jar or nearby objects. Follow the product instructions for switching off, cooling and adjustment.
Compare the complete footprint and shade overhang in each position. Do not assume that raising the shade automatically makes every jar suitable.
