Candle Warmer Lamp Timers and Dimmers Explained
Two controls. Two different jobs.

Read the timer intervals literally
A listing that specifies 2, 4 and 8 hours describes three selectable intervals. It does not automatically promise any interval between them. Look for the exact modes on the control or in the manual.
An automatic repeating schedule is a different function from a one-time shutoff. If a listing mentions a daily cycle, check how it starts, how it is canceled and what happens after power is disconnected.
Distinguish stepped and continuous dimming
A stepped dimmer offers defined levels. A continuously adjustable control offers a range. Neither description alone gives you a wax temperature, warm-up time or fragrance output.
Check whether dimming is supported by the exact lamp and bulb combination. Do not infer dimming behavior from an unrelated variant or a replacement bulb's marketing text.
Choose controls you can reach
Think through the everyday sequence: place the compatible jar, select a setting and switch off. Inline cord controls need accessible placement. A small printed label may be difficult to read in a dim room.
Use timer and dimmer features within the manufacturer's instructions. Automatic shutoff is not a reason to leave a heating appliance unattended.
